About me

Meet Nina G

I'm the glass artist behind these creations—a positive, perhaps slightly "crazy," creative spirit who has always found joy in making things. My journey has been anything but stationary, giving me a wide lens on the world! I've been lucky enough to live in amazing places, from different corners of Germany to Aberdeen (Scotland, UK), Milwaukee (USA), and now calling Jar, Norway home.

Finding My Medium in Glass

A few years ago, I finally found the perfect way to channel all that creative energy: glass. I absolutely fell in love with this challenging yet rewarding material. It lets me express myself in a way no other medium can. My other great passion, photography, naturally flows into my glass art, often serving as the initial spark or inspiration for a new piece

I first took the leap into being a self-employed artist while in Germany, and after moving to Norway in March 2022, I happily relaunched my independent studio in March 2023.

Where Inspiration Strikes

I've set up a wonderful little home studio where I get the peace and quiet I need to design and create. My inspiration comes from two main places:

Myth and Narrative: Sometimes, the art is a vivid interpretation of mythology, fairytales, and stories. I translate these ancient, powerful narratives and characters into colour, light, and form, breathing new life into timeless tales.

Real-Life Memories: Other times, the art is a beautiful snapshot of my life—using memories and pictures of places I've visited or the amazing animals I've been lucky enough to see in real life.

I hope you enjoy exploring the pieces as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Just take a look around and let yourself be surprised by what you discover.
