FAQ

How long will the glass artworks last?

As long as a glass artwork isn't damaged by a fall or similar incident, it's essentially a lifetime investment.

With glasswork using the foil technique, it's generally recommended that, depending on location factors such as sunlight, temperature fluctuations, and more, the copper foil and solder should be replaced after approximately 20 to 25 years due to oxidation.

What are those 5% Kunstavgiften?

ART FEE
According to the law on fees for the sale of visual art, etc. of 4 November 1948 no. 1 (the Art Fees Act), buyers of works of art shall pay a fee of 5% which shall be paid to the Artists' Aid Fund. The art fee is administered by Bildende Kunstneres Hjelpefond (BKH). No art fee shall be paid on the sale of works of art below NOK 2,000. The tax is in addition to the sales price and must be borne by the buyer. The artist is responsible for informing buyers about the fee, collecting it, and paying the fee to BKH.

Do you accept commissioned work?

Yes, I create glass artworks according to customer specifications.

However, I only use my own designs (after customer approval).

How much does a piece of glass art cost?

This depends on various factors, such as the type of glass to be used (I use glass from European and American suppliers), the glass colors, the number of details (the more pieces of glass, the more expensive it is), and the time required.

If you are genuinely interested in commissioning me, please get in touch.

Do you also offer repairs?

Since I focus solely on designing and creating glass artworks, I do not currently offer glass repair services.

However, it is possible to repair old glass windows and doors, as well as glasswork using techniques such as foil (Tiffany), leaded glass, or fusing.

Before disposing of old, potentially damaged glasswork, I believe one should always consult a specialist first, as the financial value of old glass windows and doors is priceless these days.

Please feel free to get in touch with me and I will help you to find someone to repair your glasswork.

Do you offer courses on learning glass processing techniques?

No, because I don´t have the space and I do not have the opportunity to implement it with all aspects of health and safety for course participants.

Do I have to pay any additional fees?

If you order from outside Norway you may be charged customs fees, import fees, or taxes upon arrival depending on the import regulations in your country.

This is the responsibility of the buyer to be aware of this and to pay any fees.
