Autumnal Charm: Single Chinese Lantern Blossom Suncatcher

Capture the fleeting magic of autumn with this beautiful, handcrafted stained glass suncatcher , "Single Chinese Lantern Blossom in Triangular Shape." This piece is a heartfelt tribute to the enchanting and delicate Chinese Lantern plant ( Physalis alkekengi).

Inspired by a Personal Autumn Tradition

This artwork was created in honour of my mother-in-law, whose special knack for finding and preserving these stunning blossoms every autumn became a personal source of inspiration. For me, these unique plants have become an essential part of the season, even though they aren't native to Europe. This suncatcher brings a touch of that autumnal magic and personal history into your home.

Unique Triangular Design and Technique

This piece is designed to be an eye-catching, unique addition to your window space:

Distinctive Shape: The artwork is presented in a triangular shape, offering a modern silhouette that beautifully frames the delicate bloom.

Technique Combination: The intricate Chinese Lantern blossom itself is meticulously detailed using the copper foil technique (the Tiffany method ). The strong, defined outer edges of the triangle are framed using the traditional lead technique, providing structural integrity and visual contrast.

Seasonal Touch: Designed as a suncatcher , the glass captures the warm, golden light of the season, making it a perfect piece of fall décor and botanical art to enjoy year-round.

Bring the simple, evocative beauty of nature and a beautiful family memory into your daily view.

The glass art is made out of 18 glass pieces.

The glass artwork comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity".

Pictures will give you an impression of colour and structure, but it will never look like the original art. Each glass is different in colour and structure which isn´t possible to capture in a picture. Glass in kind is always different to a picture. Coloration and reflections are dependent on many factors like time of the day, lighting conditions and so on.
