"The Twist - Variation 2": Kistefos Museum Architectural Stained Glass
Capture the dynamic harmony of art and nature with "The Twist - Variation 2," a unique, handcrafted stained glass suncatcher inspired by Norway's stunning Kistefos Museum . This piece is a personal tribute to the museum's iconic, award-winning building, The Twist .
Inspired by an Architectural Marvel
Located approximately 90 minutes from Oslo, Kistefos is celebrated globally for its impressive sculpture park and the architectural wonder that is The Twist . This building spans the Randselva river, literally twisting its shape over the water and serving as a crucial point where nature meets bold design.
The inspiration for this artwork comes directly from my frequent visits and personal photographs, specifically shots taken from a nearby bridge looking towards The Twist. It beautifully represents the interplay of nature and architecture found at the museum—a true source of inspiration and a peaceful spot for relaxation.

Pictures will give you an impression of colour and structure, but it will never look like the original art. Each glass is different in colour and structure which isn´t possible to capture in a picture. Glass in kind is always different to a picture. Coloration and reflections are dependent on many factors like time of the day, lighting conditions and so on.
