Norwegian Vastness: Stained Glass View from Dronningens Utsikt
Bring the breathtaking scale and serenity of Norway's landscape into your home with this exquisite piece: " View from Dronningens Utsikt over Tyrifjorden (Variation 2)."
Inspired by the Norwegian Fjords
This artwork is inspired by the iconic Tyrifjorden fjord, located just a short drive from Oslo. It captures the very essence of the Norwegian vastness —the expansive waters and sweeping mountain ranges that define this beautiful country. The inspiration comes directly from a photograph I took in May 2023 from the high viewpoint of Dronningens Utsikt (The Queen's View).
I often drive past this fjord, but on this particular day, the view was unforgettable: the distant peaks were still draped in snow-covered mountains , creating a striking contrast against the clear sky and blue water. This handcrafted stained glass panel translates that fantastic, far-reaching vista into a permanent piece of art.
A Piece of Scandinavian Serenity
This is more than a window decoration; it's a Norwegian landscape keepsake . It perfectly encapsulates the quiet, powerful beauty of the fjords , making it an essential acquisition for collectors of Scandinavian art or those who cherish memories of travel to Norway. The transparent and textured glass allows light to illuminate the vastness, creating a serene and sophisticated ambiance.
The glass art is made out of 67 glass pieces.

Pictures will give you an impression of colour and structure, but it will never look like the original art. Each glass is different in colour and structure which isn´t possible to capture in a picture. Glass in kind is always different to a picture. Coloration and reflections are dependent on many factors like time of the day, lighting conditions and so on.
